What to know about stone-core luxury vinyl flooring

What to know about stone-core luxury vinyl flooring

This is stone-look luxury vinyl flooring with a different core. Instead of the traditional luxury vinyl composite core, this has the technologically advanced SPC (stone plastic composite).

If you haven’t seen it yet

Run, don't walk to see our collection of luxury vinyl flooring. The floors have vibrant, realistic images of stone, wood, and ceramic tile.

The floors have depth, dimension, and textured looks with modern technology like embossing and micro beveling. The material is cut into square, tile-sized pieces (LVT flooring) or long planks (LVP flooring).

Feel free to come into our showroom; you’ll see stone looks like Adura Max Tile by Mannington or COREtec Stone, vinyl plank flooring like Franklin by Mohawk, Cyrus by MSI, and many more.

About SPC cores

Stone plastic composite (SPC) cores provide the highest moisture protection. They won't ever peel or ripple, no matter how much water there is or for how long it has been there.

SPC is so durable it's graded for commercial use. It gives the floor a solid, rigid feeling like a hard surface such as stone, tile, or hardwood.

You’ll also hear WPC (wood plastic composite) when shopping for your LVT or LVP flooring. Like SPC, it offers the same high level of moisture protection and is graded for commercial use.

The difference is in the feeling underfoot; this is a flexible, resilient product.

Other luxury vinyl flooring benefits:

  1. Waterproof capabilities
  2. Durability
  3. Low maintenance
  4. Quick and easy installation
